La grande aventure du journal de Tintin 1946-1988 T2 Le Lombard (2023)
77 years ago, the newspaper Journal de Tintin was born in Belgium. Given the success of the first opus and the richness of the content of the Journal Tintin, the Moulinsart editions have once again joined forces with the Lombard editions to present to you, on the occasion of this double anniversary, a new volume of La Grande Aventure du journal Tintin. 776 pages.
For this new opus, subtitled Stopover in France, the focus was on the French version of the Tintin newspaper; an opportunity for French readers to rediscover childhood memories and for Belgians to discover previously unpublished material in their Belgian weekly.
From Jacques Acar to Albert Weinberg, there are many authors who have contributed to the glory of the journal Tintin; they are represented here in short complete stories, many of which have remained unpublished in album to date.
There is no doubt that its limited edition will quickly make it a sought-after object. A file on the "bad guys" of the Tintin newspaper as well as many anecdotes about the history of the newspaper will frame the stories in pictures.
In addition to many surprises, this book will also be an opportunity to find the already very promising beginnings of the authors who made the reputation of the Tintin newspaper, and this in registers where we did not always expect them. If the style of some is already well established, it will be more difficult to recognize the future designer of Olivier Rameau in a realistic story devoted to the Andrée Mystery or even William Vance in a fanciful story on Attila.
Hergé and Tintin will not be forgotten and new covers, among others, obviously different from those already published in the first volume, will bear witness to Hergé's involvement in the life of the newspaper which bears the name of his hero. In addition to other discoveries, you will also find the first pages of the colorized version of King Ottokar's Sceptre, published only in the French version of the weekly in 1980, and many little-known illustrations produced for the Voir et savoir collection.
