On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the first appearance of Asterix and Obelix in the magazine PILOTE in 1959, the Monnaie de Paris is celebrating a new anniversary of our two favorite Gauls by striking a new collection of coins and medals bearing their image. 34mm.
Since their first adventures, Asterix and Obelix have crossed distant lands and made friends around the world! Their adventures are now translated into 117 different languages, making our two Gauls true international comic strip icons.
This mini-medal presents the portraits of Asterix and Obelix, accompanied by their faithful Dogmatix. The reverse is common to the other mini-medals of the Monnaie de Paris and is dated 2024.
